August Bank Holiday Monday 2008: Keilder

The original plan for this ride-out was a trip to the lakes, however this was changed due to the very changeable weather over the last week.

It was good to see the students who have recently passed their test (and there were lots of them) and were new to the ride-outs. Todays run turned out to be just over 100 miles of excellent biking roads on the way there, and wet roads on the way back.

A good turn out and a nice dry morning to be riding our bikes.

We set off from the unit and due to the amount of bikes we were broken up into a couple of groups as cars got in the way.

This was a smoke break for those who need their fix..

On arrival at a very wet Keilder Centre, we parked the bikes up and dived into the dry Cafe on the Water where we sort of outnumbered the other guests.

Ah food!

Thanks to all those who turned out today, despite the weather. It was a good day, made all the better by you guys (and gals)
