Bank Holiday Monday 26th May 2008: Keilder
The original plan for this ride-out was for St Mary's Loch, however this was changed due to the number of riders who turned up this morning.
It was good to see some old faces who have been out on previous runs, and to see the students who have recently passed their test and were new to the ride-outs. This run was 140 miles of excellent biking roads, a good way to get experience.
A good turn out and a great sunny day to be riding our bikes.
This was our first break of the morning.
Then time for lunch at Keilder Centre, enjoying the views, the chat and the food.
It was a bit windy and the water was a bit choppy, so we didn't go for a swim!
This petrol station was closed when we arrived, but the owner soon opened it up again when he saw how many bikes needed filling up. Thanks mate.
We were going to stop off in Rothbury, but as we rode through it was so busy and nowhere to park, so we just carried on and had our afternoon break in Warkworth, then back to the unit to finish the day. Thanks to all those who turned out today. It was a good day, made all the better by you guys (and gals)
If you want to join us for the next ride-out please let us know by email. We will then email everyone in plenty of time with arrangements.
